The road ahead is uncertain. There is a lot on your mind.

You're not sure where you're going, exactly. Just keep going west. Hopefully things work out.

The desert seems to go on endlessly. After a long day driving, a stretch at a rest stop is a welcome respite from the monotony of pavement and sagebrush.

What lies in the open land beyond the big sign?

Maybe you'll find something interesting in the desert.

Disclosures: I used Adobe Express for the banner graphic since my usual banners are pretty lame. This one is a tiny bit less awful! I also used AI to help me fix my dialog in a few scenes since I'm a horticulturist, not a writer. It's definitely better than my original attempts. (In retrospect, that was probably more hassle than it was worth since it took a lot of reformatting  work when I added the Long Dialog hack.) I probably should have used it to make better Joshua trees. ;-)

I really enjoyed this one, there's a great sense of place, and it's reassuring to take glimpses of futures which seemed appealing but we were better off not pursuing.

The way you design each of the screens is very nice, especially with (SPOILERS) the three similar-looking but different rooms in the mine. You have a good eye for location, as I’m sure dealing with many plants outdoors probably helps you with! Please don’t use ChatGPT for your dialogue though :(
